I am a Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and currently serve as the Executive Vice Chair of Radiology and the Interim Division Chief of the Abdominal Imaging Division of Radiology. My research interests focus on evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma following local treatment (ablation, chemo-embolization, and SBRT) particularly with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).  I have additional interests in new, evolving imaging methods with a pilot project funded by the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Studies Institute, UNC’s NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award, to study the clinical application of a new ultrasound tool to evaluate the use of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) in the detection of renal transplant rejection.
