The Society for Pediatric Sedation (SPS) Board of Directors and the Quality and Safety Committee recently announced that University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital has met the highest quality standards of the Society for Pediatric Sedation, earning the designation of Center of Excellence in Pediatric Sedation. We are proud of the Pediatric Specialty Care Team and entire Sedation Service for their commitment to providing quality sedation care for pediatric patients.
The four-year center of excellence designation term runs from May 1, 2022 – April 30, 2026. The UNC Children’s Hospital logo will be posted on the Society of Pediatric Sedation website on May 1, 2022. Currently, there are only 10 designated Centers of Excellence in Pediatric Sedation in the United States. Congratulations!
