Katie Jordan, MD was promoted to Associate Professor of Pediatrics effective February 1, 2024. Dr. Jordan has been a faculty member in Pediatrics since 2018. Dr. Jordan earned her undergraduate degree from Williams College and her medical degree from the University of North Carolina. She remained to complete Pediatric Residency training in the Primary Care Program at the University of North Carolina and then served as a Chief Resident. She worked as a General Pediatrician with the Cone Health Group in Greensboro before joining the faculty at UNC.

Dr. Jordan serves multiple roles in the outpatient realm, including preceptor for resident trainees in the continuity clinic, inpatient consultant for the Child Maltreatment team, and as a clinician in the Complex Care Clinic. Her focus on education and mentorship is evidenced by her role as Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Program, leadership of the continuity clinic curriculum, mentorships of several residents on quality improvement projects, and as an active member of the UNC Academy of Educators. Dr. Jordan also directs the Pediatric FIRST program, an accelerated track for medical students to complete medical school and matriculate into the UNC Pediatric Residency program.
