On Sunday, October 13, 2024, the UNC School of Medicine gathered in celebration of the Class of 2027’s White Coat Ceremony, marking a profound moment of transition as students formally began their journey into the field of medicine. Among the speakers selected for this milestone event was Dr. Kristy Borawski, Professor of Urology, Residency Program Director for UNC Urology, and Director of the Learning Environment for Undergraduate Medical Education.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Kristy Borawski has been appointed as the new Residency Program Director for UNC Urology.

Dr. Kristy Borawski, Professor of Urology, has been accepted to participate in the Leading Transformation in Academic Medicine (LTAM) program - an immersive leadership development opportunity designed to foster the growth and expertise of exceptional faculty

This year’s Resident of the Year Award was presented to Dr. Hannah Kay, and the Attending of the Year award was presented to Dr. Kristy Borawski.

Kirsty Borawski, MD, has been named Director of the Learning Environment for Undergraduate Medical Education. In this new role, Borawski will manage all learning environment reports for Undergraduate Medical Education. She will start her new role on June 1st.
