Our funders, the Health Services and Resources Administration have developed 3 free courses on dementia. Sixteen modules address interprofessional care, four modules help providers engage caregivers as allies and seven modules address caregiver’s concerns. Access these modules here.
The Center for Aging and Health has independently received a grant from the Duke Endowment to train 100% of the staff in five NC Hospitals to better meet the needs of dementia patients and their families. Learn more about the Dementia Friendly Hospital Initiative.
The CGWEP also supports Dementia Friendly Orange County. It trains community leaders and businesses to recognize and respond to the needs of people living with dementia and promotes referrals to the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services Family Caregiver Support Specialists Program.
