February 19th-25th is National CAA Week! UNC Anesthesiology celebrates the department’s dedicated Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) this week for their vital team contributions to coordinating and implementing peri-operative patient care.

Interim UNC Anesthesiology Chair Anthony Passannante, MD, FASA, noted: “We thank Robin [Spierer], Meng [Chen], Sonia [Toporcer] and Jonathan [London] for bringing their energy, enthusiasm, knowledge and skill to our busy clinical anesthesia practice. Robin joined us first in August, followed by Meng in October, Sonia in November, and Jonathan is now finishing his first week. I would like to thank the entire Department, as well as our techs, faculty, residents, nurse anesthetists and staff for making them feel welcome.”
