Title: The last “poorly understood” DNA Repair pathway…now pretty-well understood?
Dr. Ramsden has a B.Sc. in Molecular Genetics and a Ph.D. in Immunology, both from the University of Toronto, then completed his post-doctoral training in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology at the National Institutes of Health. He has been a Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics and a member of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center here at UNC-CH for the last 25 years. His research focuses on repair of chromosome breaks by end joining pathways, a topic essential to the understanding of cancer etiology, cancer therapy, and genome engineering.
