Areas of Interest

My work is centered on better defining the contribution of coagulation system components in bloodstream bacterial infections. Specifically, I am studying interactions between Staphylococcus aureus virulence factors and fibrin(ogen) in the pathogenesis of infection. These findings will be used to design and develop novel strategies for limiting S. aureus virulence.
