Areas of Interest

My area of interest is in clinical benign hematology, specifically sickle cell disease, women's health, and thrombosis. I'll be studying protease activated receptor -1 (PAR-1) and how it affects predisposition to thrombosis in sickle cell disease. These findings will be useful in determining whether PAR-1 could be a novel target to prevent clotting in patients with sickle cell disease.
