Areas of Interest
My main interest is focused on mouse models of sickle cell disease to study the mechanism of venous thrombosis and thromboinflammation associated with this disease. The next project I am working on is the role of FXII in the pathology of sickle cell disease. Additionally, I will be working on a project investigating the mechanism of venous thrombosis and chronic kidney disease in sickle cell trait. I am also involved in collaboration between Rafal and Brandi Reeves’s laboratory focusing on the role of thrombopoietin in the mouse model of myeloproliferative neoplasms.
