About
Research Interests: My research interests lie broadly in studying biochemical and biophysical processes within blood. Specifically, we are interested in studying the initiation and formation of cellular occlusions in Sickle Cell Disease. We integrate principles from biology, chemistry, and physics to develop mechanistic mathematical models, then computationally analyze them. Outputs from these models can lead to new insights into the interaction of blood cells and the vessel wall and suggest novel therapeutic strategies.
