Areas of Interest

My research focuses on the molecular and vascular drivers of placental dysfunction in Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) pregnancies. SCD patients have high-risk pregnancies with increased maternal and fetal morbidity. I am interested in identifying the mechanisms behind these pregnancy complications and exploring possible interventions for use in a clinical setting.
