The Triangle Brain Bee (https://tarheels.live/trianglebrainbee/) serves high school students of North Carolina and aims to promote awareness about collegiate and career pathways in neuroscience as well as incite excitement surrounding neuroscience and STEM fields. Post-docs and graduate students offer three community engagement opportunities for high school students: (i) virtual, weekly neuroscience tutoring sessions, (ii) an interactive neuroanatomy session, and (iii) a local Brain Bee competition. Events begin in early September and will culminated at the local Brain Bee competition on March 2nd, 2024 in the MBRB auditorium. During the competition, our students were able to test their knowledge and engage with neuroscience graduate students, staff, and faculty. The winner of our competition will represent NC at the National Brain Bee and potentially, the International Brain Bee as well!
