February 2010 – Congratulations to Ben Philpot on his promotion to Associate Professor, effective February 1, 2010.

Dr. Philpot earned his PhD in Psychology/Psychobiology from the University of Virginia, under the guidance of Dr. Peter Brunjes. Philpot went on to postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Mark Bear at Brown University. Before joining UNC, he was a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts’s Institute of Technology in the Picower Center for Learning and Memory.
