Biographical Information
Evan Ashkin, MD, is professor of family medicine at the UNC School of Medicine. He teaches in the underserved track of UNC Family Medicine’s residency program, as well as seeing patients at Piedmont Health Services, which serves vulnerable populations. Dr. Ashkin also founded the North Carolina Formerly Incarcerated Transition (NC FIT) program to help chronically ill former prisoners who have recently been released connect with primary care medical services that they can access regularly.
