Dr. Keriayn Smith (Assistant Professor, Genetics) serves as the Board Chair for the Society for Scientific Advancement (SOSA),currently celebrating its ten-year anniversary. 

Department of Genetics faculty, postdocs, students and collaborators published twelve papers during February 21 – March 6, 2021.

The laboratory of Dr. Shawn Ahmed (Professor, Genetics and Biology) has published two papers in Nature journals in the past month.

The courses will teach new concepts, broaden perspectives and provide the campus community with a common set of terms.

The paper, published by Drs. Wesley Krouse, Samir Kelada and William Valdar in GENETICS December 2020, was selected for the 2020 Spotlight collection of research and scholarship excellence published in the GSA journals.

Dr. Yun Li has been appointed Professor in the Departments of Genetics and Biostatistics, effective February 1, 2021.
