Research Interests
As the Director of Scientific Computing, Dr. Kelkar provides bioinformatics and scientific computing research support for entire UNC campus. Dr. Kelkar oversees and provides support for UNC’s portfolio of licensed commercial software packages. Dr. Kelkar also manages the information technology component of the UNC HTSF which includes data management, quality control, distribution and backup for all sequence data generated at UNC HTSF.
