Sonja Mihailovic, GMB graduate student in the laboratories of Drs. Adriana Beltran and Jeremy Purvis (both Associate Professors in Genetics), has been selected as part of the 2023 RTP cohort in the Nucleate Activator program for next-generation bioentrepreneurs.
The Activator program aligns scientists and MBA students interested in launching a venture. Sonja proposes to develop scalable solutions for generating patient-derived pluripotent stem cells for clinical use. Over the next 5 months, Sonja will be working with mentors in various companies in the RTP area to learn the start-up process, and will compete in the Nucleate national competition in May.
