James Crowley

Dr. James Crowley (Associate Professor, Genetics) was awarded a collaborative R01 from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) for his project titled “Rare Genetic Variation and Risk for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder”.

The studies are designed to produce WES data from 5,100 OCD subjects and 3,000 controls from Sweden and Norway.  This new data will be combined with existing WES datasets to increase the power to identify OCD risk gene.  Finally, the study will focus on the relationship of OCD risk to risk for other neurodevelopmental disorders, including tic disorders, autism, ADHD, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
