Dr. Raab (Assistant Professor, Genetics) was awarded a grant from the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) for his project titled “Identification of New Therapeutic Strategies for Targeting Liver Fibrosis”. This two-year grant focuses on the use of models of liver fibrosis induction to understand the etiology specific and independent epigenetic regulators of fibrosis, which progresses to cirrhosis and ultimately can lead to hepatocellular carcinoma.
