Katarzyna Kedziora

Dr. Katarzyna (Kasia) Kedziora has been appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics, effective Jan. 4, 2021.

Dr. Kedziora earned a Master of Science in Biophysics (2008) from Jagiellonian University (Cracow Poland) followed by a Bachelor of Engineering (2010) from AGH University of Science and Technology (Cracow Poland).  She earned her PhD in Cell Biology (2016) from University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands).  Her research during her graduate studies was multi-dimensional, including development of new methods for calibrating confocal microscopes, lifetime imaging microscopy and controlling chemotactic gradients in microscopy experiments.  To build on her microscopy experience, Dr. Kedziora joined the laboratory of Dr. Jeremy Purvis (Department of Genetics) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2016.  She was recently named as a Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) Imaging Scientist.
