Dr. Keriayn Smith (Assistant Professor, Genetics) has been invited to participate in the “Dark Dimensions of the RNA Regulome” Ideas Lab Activity sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

This five-day, interactive workshop scheduled for mid-June, will bring together scientists from diverse disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics, evolutionary biology, ecology, computational biology, artificial intelligence, information sciences) to find new ways to discover, interrogate and functionally characterize the non-coding portion of the RNA regulome.  Following the Ideas Lab, teams of up to 30 will be invited to submit full proposals for projects considered to be innovative and high risk.
