The Department of Genetics welcomes Dr. Parul Johri, Assistant Professor (joint with Department of Biology).
Dr. Johri completed her BSc in Mathematics at Delhi University (India), her MS in Biology at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (India) and her PhD in Evolution, Ecology and Behavior at Indiana University. Dr. Johri’s lab focuses on how evolutionary processes like changes in population size, recombination rate, direct and indirect effects of selection and factors such as genome architecture shape patterns of genomic variation. She is a member of the BCB Curriculum, and her laboratory is in Genome Science Building.
