The Department is delighted to welcome Stefanija Giric, MA, as a Research Project Manager.
She will work closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Research to provide project management services to faculty and large team science projects in the department. Stefanija earned a Bachelors in Public Policy and a Masters in Bioethics and Science Policy with a concentration in Genomics from Duke University. Prior to moving to the Genetics Department, she worked for 3 years as a Project Director on public health and substance use prevention grants at UNC’s Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Stefanija will use her extensive training, interests, and prior work experience in genomics, bioethics, public policy, reproductive justice and disability advocacy to support the department’s research and grant portfolio.
