This event welcomed groups of students to the UNC campus from Gaston Early Medical College and Wilmington Early College High School to learn about medical school, graduate school, career opportunities, and even get “hands-on” experience in science. Students were welcomed by UNC Genetics Chair Fernando Pardo Manuel de Villena, BCB and GMB Graduate Student Services Manager John Cornett, and Pharmacology Graduate Student Services Manager April Villanueva. The event included a panel of graduate students from GMB, BCB, and PHCO discussing their journeys to UNC. After the panel, information sessions and hands-on activities were held with students and faculty.

Thank you to all the UNC Faculty, Graduate Students, and Staff who participated in this community outreach event!
