Dr. Yun Li (Professor, Department of Genetics) was awarded Boost funding from the UNC SOM Dean’s Office for her project “Genetics of mammalian chromatin interactome”.
In this proposal, Dr. Li and her collaborators will utilize recombinant intercross (RIX) mice generated from the Collaborative Cross mouse population to study the genetics of three-dimensional chromatin organization to dissect the genetics of complex traits such as those related to neuropsychiatric disorders.
The Boost award from the SOM Dean’s Office will be equally matched by the Department of Genetics and is an indication of confidence that this proposal will enable Dr. Li to continue her excellent research program and explore new approaches to investigate the genetics of complex traits.
