Yun Li, PhD to Lead Bioinformatics Group for BACPAC Award to UNC.
The NINDS has awarded a $51.8M U24 grant to UNC investigators as part of the HEAL (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) Initiative awards program. The project is titled “Back Pain Consortium (BACPAC) Research Program Data Integration, Algorithm Development and Operations Management Center” and the PI is Dr. Lisa LaVange, Professor and Assoc. Chair of the Department of Biostatistics. Dr. Li is leading “The Systems Biology and Bioinformatics Group” for the project. The NIH HEAL Initiative is an aggressive, trans-agency effort to speed scientific solutions to stem the national opioid public health crisis.
