Academic hematology faculty are very subspecialized and are often not aware of hematology practice updates outside their narrow scope of academic specialization.  However, as practicing hematologists often provide “general” hematology consultations on inpatient services, it is imperative that academic hematologists remain abreast of practice updates in the field.

The Hematology Grand Rounds series will aim to address this practice gap by providing focused and up-to-date reviews delivered by nationally recognized experts on the topics.  For the 2023-24 academic year, we will focus on areas that are “in between” malignant and benign/classical hematology: bone marrow failure syndromes, clonal hematopoiesis, myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Join us as we host six hybrid sessions to be held on the 1st Wednesday on selected months from 12 Noon – 1pm in the Lineberger Pagano Conference Center/Zoom.
