Strain Distribution
The MMRRC distributes scientifically valuable, genetically engineered mouse strains and mouse ES cell lines with potential value for the genetics and biomedical research community.

Strains at UNC
Strains are generally available from the cryoarchive. When an order is received, frozen material is used to generate live mice. Alternatively, frozen embryos or sperm may be requested.
Active breeding colonies are only maintained if the strain is in high demand.
