Using Systems Genetics to Better Understand Human Health and Disease

“I believe MMRRC is an indispensable entity of the world-wide biomedical research enterprise. Mutant mouse lines are critical tools for basic and translational research that aims to understand the causes of human diseases and developing therapeutic interventions. MMRRC makes the large number of existing mutant mouse lines easily accessible to investigators world-wide. Moreover, a centralized storage of cryopreserved mouse lines is hundreds of times more cost-effective than storage in individual labs.”
