Birthing Class with UNC Centering

CenteringPregnancy® group prenatal care is one of the methods of prenatal care offered at UNC OB-GYN, specifically through the UNC Midwives practice. We started this program in 2015, and we’ve seen great growth and success as more women choose this way to receive their prenatal care. We review a wide variety of educational content including information on breastfeeding, labor preparation, parenting, stress reduction, nutrition and more. Women learn from one another’s questions and experiences and friendships develop that last well beyond pregnancy.

Conferences & Continuing Education

Inaugural UNC OB/GYN Continuing Medical Education Conference

THE TARHEEL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SUMMIT
Fall 2027 – Chapel Hill, NC – Save the Date

We’re excited to host our very first UNC OB/GYN Continuing Medical Education Conference in Fall 2027 — a two-day gathering in Chapel Hill built around women’s health and the communities we serve.

This inaugural conference is open to all practicing OB/GYN and reproductive health clinicians — including generalist OB/GYNs, subspecialists, certified nurse midwives (CNMs), advanced practice providers, family medicine and primary care physicians, as well as those in both academic and community practice, regardless of institutional affiliation. Through practical updates, real-world case discussions, and collaborative dialogue, the conference aims to strengthen reproductive healthcare across North Carolina.

Continuing education credit will be available for eligible health professionals.

Help shape the agenda. This is our first year, and we’re designing it around what you most want to learn. Take a few minutes to share your input — your responses guide every session.
