I loved how hands-on the program was, from the resident [teaching] clinic, to serving Fayetteville VA Medical Center patients, to learning at [Miracles in Sight], one of the largest wet labs in the country. Knowing UNC is a state hospital with a commitment to caring for the underserved really aligned with my own values. During interviews, everyone was so friendly and down-to-earth. The residents clearly enjoy what they are doing and faculty care about getting to know you. It just felt like the right place to learn and grow!”
