Research Associate Professor

Specialty:
Glaucoma Diagnostic and Epidemiology Research

Education and Training:

Medical School/Internship/Residency: University of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo)
Master’s of Public Health/MPH (International Health): University of Bergen, Norway
Doctorate/PhD (Ophthalmology): University of Bergen, Norway

Special Interests:

Early diagnosis of glaucoma and its progression
Public and international health aspect of glaucoma

Research Goals:

My research focuses on developing methods for early diagnosis and early detection of progression of glaucoma using structural changes in the optic nerve head and retinal layers.
My current line of research includes: 1) Classification of forecasting of glaucomatous structural change using probabilistic multivariate models; 2) Glaucoma diagnosis and detection of its progression using combination of hemodynamic and metabolic changes with structural damage.
