Ophthalmic Manager I

Regan Tingey, COA, joined UNC Kittner Eye Center’s leadership team as Ophthalmic Manager I in July 2025. Regan has been with Kittner Eye Center for three years as a certified ophthalmic assistant and brings with him over six years of total experience in eye care. The first two years were spent as an optician at Eyeglass World before transitioning to working in the field of ophthalmology at the Eye Institute of Utah. Regan earned his B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University in 2018 before entering the healthcare workforce.
Regan’s range of healthcare work experience includes primary care, physical therapy, surgery, corrective medicine, and emergency medicine. In eye care, he is dedicated to being a part of treatment that preserves or improves a patient’s vision. One of Regan’s clinic management goals is to develop a health informatics system capable of leveraging healthcare data that promotes empowerment of providers and improves patient outcomes.
