Adult Spine
Dr. Lim and his colleagues at the UNC Spine Center provide comprehensive treatment for a wide array of spinal disorders including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spinal tumors, and spinal trauma. Dr. Lim specializes in the surgical treatment of degenerative conditions of the cervical spine including cervical radiculopathy and cervical myelopathy. He performs spinal surgery using modern advanced techniques including minimally invasive surgery, microsurgical decompression, complex spinal instrumentation, and non-fusion motion-sparing alternatives. Dr. Lim has been involved in research at the Harvard Biological Laboratories, Harvard-Thorndike Laboratories, and the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory at the Hospital for Special Surgery. As a Professor at the UNC School of Medicine, he teaches medical students, trains the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons, and is actively involved in research. He has authored numerous scientific articles and has presented his research nationally and internationally.
