Welcome to the UNC Division of Nephropathology!

Our premier nephropathology laboratory offers expert diagnostic services, providing comprehensive renal pathology reports in a timely manner.  Under the leadership of Dr. Vanesa Moreno, our laboratory conducts the technical and professional components of renal pathology services.  We are the leading nephropathology laboratory in North Carolina processing kidney biopsies from referring nephrologists and laboratories across the state and beyond.

KITS INCLUDE:

• Marked vials containing preservatives and fixatives for tissue triage
• PREPAID, PREPRINTED FedEx shipping label for shipment back to UNC in the included FedEx clinical pack.
• Material safety data sheets, and referral forms for both native and transplant biopsies (two separate forms)
• Kits are bundled in groups of four and are stable at room temperature
