Autopsy Pathology

The Autopsy Pathology Division provides comprehensive diagnostic services through postmortem examinations that help clarify disease processes, inform clinical care, and contribute to quality assurance and medical education. Faculty conduct hospital autopsies and forensic consultations, working closely with clinicians, families, and the medical examiner’s office to deliver compassionate and thorough evaluations. Education is central to our mission. Autopsy cases are a vital component of resident training, offering insights into pathophysiology and clinicopathologic correlations. Our division also supports multidisciplinary learning through case conferences and collaborative research opportunities.
