UNC Health Privacy Support for the UNC School of Medicine

The UNC School of Medicine (UNC SOM) is committed to providing quality care which includes protecting the privacy of patients and clinical research subjects in accordance with the standards defined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). To ensure the integrity of protected health information (PHI), the UNC Health Privacy Office provides HIPAA privacy compliance support for all UNC SOM workforce members who perform clinical activities.
