Endocrinology and Diabetes
The University of North Carolina Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Fellowship program, located in Chapel Hill, NC, is an ACGME fully accredited three-year subspecialty program designed to prepare pediatricians for careers in academic and clinical pediatric endocrinology and diabetes.
We strive to train the next generation of outstanding, academic, clinical leaders in pediatric endocrinology by instilling a commitment to life-long learning, providing individualized engagement in research and scholarly activities, and modeling excellence in the care of patients and families with endocrine disorders.

Our Program’s Aims
- To train excellent clinical specialists in pediatric endocrinology, through applying evidence-based medicine within a multidisciplinary model of care.
- To advance clinical care in pediatric endocrinology through training fellows to ask important and insightful questions, and by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and tools to answers such queries.
- To provide meaningful opportunities and experiences for fellows to advocate for effective education, optimization of care, and efficient access to resources for our patient population.
- To produce excellent, independent pediatric endocrinologists who will serve as local and national leaders in the field of pediatric endocrinology.
