  • 5 sick days/year
  • Health Insurance
  • Support for conference travel (if presenting)

A document detailing the benefits package can be found here at the UNC GME website.

Selection of applicants for participation in the residency program is done in a manner consistent with the Graduate Medical Education Policy of the University of North Carolina, which states:  “Programs must select from among eligible applicants on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. Programs must not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, religion, color, national origin, disability, or veteran status.”

At this time, UNC Hospitals does not sponsor visas for the Medical Physics Residency Program. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
