Among the 12 faculty members from the UNC Department of Urology who made the 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctors list are: Drs. Kristy Borawski, Timothy Bukowski, Katherine Chan, Brad Figler, Matthew Nielsen, Mathew Raynor, Sherry Ross, Angela Smith, Richard Sutherland, Ray Tan, Davis Viprakasit, and Eric Wallen.

Drs. Borawski, Ross, and Smith have also been recognized on Castle Connolly’s supplementary listing recognizing Exceptional Woman in Medicine. Dr. Borawski, who was first listed in 2019, has been recognized each consecutive year since, and Drs. Ross and Smith have both been listed since 2020.

In addition to the faculty members, six Joint/Adjunct Faculty members from the UNC Department of Urology also made the 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctors list: Drs. Ethan Basch, Lester Borden, Matthew Coward, Scott Macdiarmid, Matthew Milowsky, and Young Whang.
