Some of you may have noticed the new and improved ticket intake system that was launched campus-wide on July 30, 2019. ServiceNow is easy to use and it is the best way for our IT staff to receive requests and offer the help that you need. ServiceNow can be accessed by going to help.med.unc.edu and clicking on the Help Request button on the right of the page.

Once you are in the ServiceNow portal, you can search the database for articles that may be able to answer your web or IT questions. If you don’t see an answer to your question in the articles, click on the “Request Service” button. If something is broken and you need to report an incident, click the “Something’s Broken” button.

ServiceNow should be the main way of requesting web and IT help, and should be used instead of requesting through personal email. This will streamline the process for our IT staff so that they can help you as quickly as possible.
