The Division of Plastic Surgery provides bone and soft tissue reconstruction for patients after facial trauma. Comprehensive management of facial fractures includes surgical intervention for the mandible, midface, orbits and nose. Soft tissue injuries, including trauma to the eyelids and facial nerves are also addressed. Working closely with the Emergency Department and the Trauma Service, potentially catastrophic injuries are evaluated, diagnosed and treated in an emergent fashion to insure an optimal outcome, both physically and psychologically.
