Michael Bremmer, a PhD student in the Behavioral and Integrative Neuroscience (BIN) program at the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, received a Doctoral Student Small Grant from the Research Society on Alcohol. He was one of five students nationwide to win this award in 2024. This $5000 grant will support his project “Investigating the Effects of Endogenous Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 (GLP-1) on Alcohol Subjective Response, Craving, Demand, and Attentional Bias in the Human Laboratory.” Michael works under the mentorship of Dr. Christian Hendershot, an Associate Professor of Psychiatry who is part of the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies.  Learn more about the Doctoral Small Grants Program at https://researchsocietyonalcohol.org/small-grant.
