Yukun received her B.S. in Food Science from Shanxi Agricultural University in China, and a Master’s degree in Food Science with a minor in Statistics from NC State University. Her master’s research focused on the effects of coffee consumption on cortisol changes in response to acute mental stress. In February 2025, Yukun joined the Tamir Lab to continue exploring dietary interventions for metabolic disorders.
