Title: “PCBPs: Regulators of RNA & Iron”
Dr. Aleman has a B.S. in Zoology from Humboldt State University and a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is currently Assistant Professor, Pharmacology and Interim Co-Chair of Diversity and Inclusion Liaisons, School of Medicine, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at UNC Chapel Hill. Her research interests include blood and vascular biology; Erythropoiesis; Iron metabolism; RNA regulation; Coagulation; and Non-malignant hematology.
