Women in Science (WinS) will be hosting their annual symposium on Friday, April 1st to recognize the work and contributions of women to the advancement of science. For the 7th Women in Science Symposium, we are celebrating the many facets of a scientist, in and outside of the lab.

The Graduate School’s Diversity and Student Success program invites the UNC-Chapel Hill campus community to the inaugural Surviving and Thriving Summit. We will explore stories from graduate students of color through interactive story boards and a performance piece, culminating in a facilitated discussion. A mindful yoga practice can enhance self-compassion, lighten a heavy heart, and relieve the tensions of stress and anxiety. Employees can enjoy a free virtual gentle yoga sessions two times a week.
Standard Safe Zone covers the concepts mentioned above, as well as campus climate data, campus achievement disparities, common allyship scenarios. This training is intended to address concerns particular to students, faculty, and staff members.
