Woosuk Steve Hur

Research Interest: My project is investigating the role of coagulation and fibrinolysis proteins in the development of obesity and associated pathologies, such as fatty liver disease, diabetes and insulin resistance. In particular, I am determining the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which fibrinogen and plasminogen regulate metabolic processes resulting in obesity and metabolic syndrome.
