The CRSO supports SOM’s research mission by propagating resources and expertise to facilitate best operational practices in clinical research. The CRSO identifies existing resources but also partners with research teams and clinical research offices to develop solutions and technologies that are innovative and adaptive to the growing UNC-Chapel Hill and SOM clinical research landscape.
Bloom
A CRSO-developed process mapping tool for constructing customized web-based maps for navigating the required steps to initiate a new clinical research study, understand dependencies between steps, and document study initiation progress.
Clinical Research Glossary
A comprehensive clinical research glossary developed by the CRSO to facilitate clear and concise clinical research communication. The glossary is intended to be broadly applicable to various types of research and audiences; therefore, its definitions provide nuances of usage.
CRSO Informational Emails
An archive of the In the Know, Resource Hub and Insightalyst informational emails distributed via the CRSO listserv.
RADaR
A Research Administrative Data Reporting platform designed by the CRSO to bring together regulatory, financial, contract, personnel, and other types of data used to describe and support human subjects research at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Resource Library
A repository of guidance documents, tip sheets, templates, and forms to inform best practices in clinical research developed by the CRSO and other units/organizations.
Self-Assessment Toolbox
A series of electronically fillable self-assessment tools designed by the CRSO to proactively enhance study procedures, identify areas of improvement, and ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.
