FACSMelody (BSL-1)
The Becton Dickinson FACSMelody is equipped with 3 lasers (405, 488, and 561nm) and can detect up to 8 fluorescent parameters. Its acquisition software is FACSChorus.
Trained users can operate this sorter.

Samples containing viable BSL-2 agents (or samples that could contain such agents but whose status is unknown) CANNOT be sorted on the FACSMelody.

The FACSMelody has 3 lasers and 8 detectors. Despite the limited detectors the FACSMelody has proved to be versatile and has been successfully been used to detect some dyes traditionally excited by a 633nm (red) laser. Contact the Flow Core for options to make the best use of your panel.
